A prominent cleric and founder of Frontline Missionary Church in Akwa Ibom State, Apostle Unyime Nkanta, has called for constant and fervent prayers to seek God’s intervention in Nigeria’s current economic crisis and other pressing challenges.
Speaking on Sunday during a special service tagged “Faithfulness Service” at the church’s premises in Ekom-Iman, Uyo, Apostle Nkanta emphasized that only God can reverse the economic hardship facing the nation.
Expressing concern over rising unemployment, especially among youths, he urged Nigerian leaders to think creatively to address the job scarcity.
“The current situation in the country demands our constant and fervent prayers for God’s intervention, particularly in the area of the economy,” Nkanta said.
He also revealed that he had received a divine revelation to offer soul-lifting prayers for the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, asking God to grant him wisdom and knowledge to effectively lead the National Assembly.
The televangelist praised Senator Akpabio’s leadership qualities, describing his inclusive approach to governance as admirable and a source of inspiration to many across the country.
“I pray that God continues to guide him as he discharges his duties as the third citizen of Nigeria,” he added.
Citing Proverbs 11:14, Apostle Nkanta highlighted the importance of wise counsel in leadership, stating:
“The main purpose God enables us to serve in positions of authority is to provide wise counsel at all times.”
He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and prayerful, trusting in God’s ability to bring positive change to the nation.
