The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, lauded Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for fighting corruption.

Tinubu spoke during a commissioning of Magistrate’s Court building in Port Harcourt, the State capital.

“I take a different angle to what Wike has done here today, he is fighting corruption.

“We must fight corruption and we definitely must look at the other side of the coin. If you don’t want your judges to be corrupt, you must pay attention to their welfare,” Tinubu said.

LEADERSHIP reports that Tinubu had outrightly rejected Wike’s request for the refund of monies spent on federal roads built by the State government, saying he must be lobbied for the retund.

The president-elect is on a two-day visit to Rivers State to commission some landmark projects in the state.
