The terms “purchasing” and “procurement” are frequently used interchangeably. While both involve purchasing goods and services, there are some significant distinctions. Finding and agreeing to the terms of purchase is known as procurement. Identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and selecting the supplier with the best value for money are all part of it. The actual act of purchasing goods and services is called purchasing.
